Declining an offer after internship

0

So I recently finished an internship that I enjoyed; however, the career opportunities at the company just do not align with my long-term career goals. As a result, that was what I told the H.R. at my exit interview. However, immediately after the interview, I felt like I destroyed my backup plan. I've been trying to convince myself that I did not do anything wrong, but my family have been telling me that I shouldn't have done it, and now I'm afraid that I might regret my decision by the end of next semester, when it comes time for me to graduate!

Should I be concerned?
