I've tried figuring out the answer to this for a while and can't. It seems most fits to test score distributions bin the data, and fit it to a normal distribution, but I want to fit the raw scores, ordered from highest to lowest. I am doing this because I want to understand the two different methods - I know there isn't necessarily any more information to learn from doing one vs. the other.
