Supervisor give short time to finish task
I am a new user here. First of all, I am a web programmer. I just got a job as a web programmer at this one company. This is my first job. During the interview, they ask me to create a website and I created using HTML and JavaScript.
As I started working, I got a task that needs to be complete. The language that they used is LotusScript, not JavaScript. I never know the LotusScript but I am fine with that because I can learn new things and as long as I have time to learn it first before I can complete the task. But the time of the task need to be complete is just two weeks from the next day I started.
How I am supposed to learn it and finish within these two weeks. I try to communicate with the supervisor to extend the dateline but they just keep it with two weeks. I want to ask my senior programmer but for this months they just busy with a meeting and their jobs and I have to learned by myself and finish it within two weeks.
Now I only have one week left and the task is not complete yet. Any help that can help me how to manage to finish the task within the time? Or any tips to how to communicate with coworkers about this. Thank you.
